SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS BANNERS

For more information on how to volunteer to make banners, and/or how to sponsor (e.g., provide prizes) these remarkable Blog Hops, please jump to:

General Information:

This is a very special project for me, where four times a year, about 40 fantastically talented crafters join me in making banners for the medically-fragile, technologically dependent children in Pediatric Specialty Care.  (www.pediatricspecialty.com)

I work at Pediatric Specialty Care in Bucks County, as Admissions Coordinator.  Every day I see these children -- ranging in age from 0 (preemies) to 21 -- whose remarkable achievements are measured in the breaths they take.

PSC is a long-term care facility (think: nursing home for children) that doesn't have the glitz and glamor or acclaim of a large children's hospital. Most of our kids in PSC are here because it's their "forever home".  They are too ill and too fragile to safely manage at home.

The banners that we make for the children are featured in quarterly blog hops during specific holidays:
Halloween, Christmas (and winter holidays), Valentine's Day and Spring Holidays.  I'll be posting pictures of past banners here, as time permits.

If you would like to join with me in participating to make a banner -- either as a blog hop stop, or just to make a banner for the kids -- please don't hesitate to contact me directly at cardmonkey@comcast.net

The following banners were made and donated by crafters in celebration of Valentine's Day, 2012:
