When I took my Copics Certification class last summer, I was surprised at how few attendees considered themselves "artists" at all, even though there we were, all taking this art class together. In truth, we're all artists. Good, bad and indifferent, in one way or another.
Encouraged to play along in my friend Jenn's "Artists' Play Room" last year, I drew my first chicken ... which led to my first "art sale" ...and my second chicken ... and then my "Chicken Challenge" in which I've drawn and sold even more chickens. Who knew that my "CardMonkey's Paper Jungle" would take a u-turn to become a Chicken Coop?
You see, my friends, life -- and art -- sometimes takes odd and interesting turns. Are you interested in seeing my latest chickens? Well, if not, move on because they're coming at you! Yes, prints are available for sale (inquiries welcome) and they're also available on notecards. Soon on Etsy, or sooner if you inquire. I won't bwwwawk at any inquiry!! LOL
All of these are drawn with pen-and-ink, and hand colored by me, using Copic markers.
Updated 1/16/13: Here are all my chickens to date:
What have you drawn today? Don't be chicken -- give it a try!
