Scraps Make a Pretty Card: STT Blog Hop, February 16

Welcome to Scraps To Treasures' February Blog Hop, hosted by my friend and mentor, Lucy Kelleher.

This month, our STT team was to use either a card or layout sketch to make our project, and to keep those projects made only out of scraps.

Sketches are fun and useful for those in a hurry. They give a crafter a guide to follow when she's stumped for idea. They stimulate thinking but there's no limit on how they can be interpreted. Here are the sketches that were provided:



Now, you know I'm a cardmaker, so here is what the sketch inspired me to make:

I used my scraps from my February "Card Kitchen" card kit
by Jillibean Soup to make this sweet card. The papers in
this month's kit are from the Family Ties line of Pebbles
papers, in a 6x6" pack.  The ribbon was a scrap of my
Rumple Ribbons by Lovebug Creations.
The sweet Magnolia image is a digital image I found on
Pinterest, that I colored with Copic Markers, paper pieced
using a scrap, and Stickled.  The two gems are leftovers
from my Avonlea Close To My Heart WOTG kit.
