3-Timed and Swapped too ...

I'm on a roll in working with the stamped images I received in my Facebook swap. I hope I don't bore you with these ... I received 12 images, each from a different person. While I've colored them all, I may just keep some ready to use.

Here is another swapped stamp ... the cute frog came to me from fellow FB member Molly Erin Burkett. (Thanks, Molly!)  I used the "triple time technique" in stacking the stamped images on mat. The top layer is put on an Action Wobble, since the froggie needs to be hopping.

Beautiful Bride Card from a Digi-Stamp

I'm loving this card I made in response to a challenge on Just Some Lines, a favorite digi-stamp store. This week's Saturday Challenge calls for a wedding card. Here's my take:

The image, called Nature's Child, is from Just Some Lines, printed on ivory cardstock. The sentiment is computer-generated in the Azalea Smooth font. I randomly colored the flowers and face using Prismacolor colored pencils, with Gamsol. 

I added some netting over the top of the card from the forehead, taped to the back. Prima strip pearls (cut to fit the crown and the curves and drops I wanted) finished the classy card. I mounted the panel on light blue and lavendar Bazzill papers, and adhered it to more ivory cardstock.

Bernie's Birthday Month!

Today, I'll continue to celebrate the birthday of one of my very best friends, Bernie. Bernie's birthday was earlier this month, so he's already gotten this card ... and it will be no stranger to my favorite blog follower, Star (Bernie's wife). Hi, Star!

To create this card, I used an image from a DVD from Dover Publications, dropped into the Sure Cuts A Lot program for use on the Cricut. By replacing the Cricut's cutting blade with a gel pen from Cri-Kit, "I" drew -- actually, the machine drew -- the image of the bird onto card stock. I hand-colored the bird using Prisma pencils and Gamsol to blend. To create the welded sentiment, I used Sure Cuts A Lot to lay out and merge letters together.

It's hard to believe September is more than half over, and soon the days will be getting cool and crisp. Enjoy this beautiful day. Dance!
