#30yearsofhappy - September 5

Happy National Stamping Month!

In September, along with celebrating one of our passions, we're also honoring Close To My Heart Founder and CEO's "30 Years of Happy" anniversary by sharing with you an adorable and FREE stamp set shown at left. And I have teamed up with two other CTMH Independent Consultants -- Rebecca Brown and Julia Hammond -- to bring you daily ideas on how to use these versatile stamps.

If you've missed any of the ideas, you can scroll back here on my blog to September 1, or also visit us on Pinterest by going to our board at:

It's my turn again.  This time, I'm going to show you how I multi-stamped the "It's Your Day" stamp to create a border for a birthday card:

Here's the stamp I used. It's a wee one, just 1" wide, perfect for CTMH's 1" square acrylic block.
And here's the card I made:

Using three of CTMH's hot new colors in their Exclusive Inks (Thistle, Glacier, and Canary), I stamped the image all the way around the border of an A2 (4.25" x 5.5") White Daisy Card.

I
was a bit surprised that this was harder than it looks -- lining it up just so and turning the stamp. I think I stamped this five or so times before I was semi-happy with it, and now I notice that I'd rather have the stamps on the left facing inward. Sigh.  Aren't we are own harshest critics??!

Also, I was hoping my order for Confetti Wishes Complements was in (but I ordered late!), so I cut a cake (far right) from its paper for this embellishment.
I cut the "Happy Birthday" sentiment using Confetti Wishes paper on my Cricut, using the Artiste exclusive CTMH cartridge.

I proudly sponsor #PaprTrail3

Sizzix Designer Eileen Hull has launched her biggest Paper Trail yet -- a two-month, cross-country tour where she will be showing crafters the wonders of her scoreboard dies.

I had the great pleasure of being the first stop in Eileen's Paper Trail 2, and loved how the dies she designed for Sizzix cut mini-albums, blocks, a suitcase and even a cradle.

When she visited The Paper Jungle in June, Eileen showed my class of almost 20 crafters how to use the dies and embossing folders on the Big Shot machine. The samples she brought in her vintage trailer, Scotty, were out of this world!

I am pleased to say that CardMonkey's Paper Jungle is one of the proud sponsors of Paper Trail 3. Eileen will be wearing a necklace I made for her, using Close To My Heart's Base & Bling products. Her necklace features a miniature picture (1" square) I made for her using the drawing of Scotty on the trail.

Eileen has copies of that custom necklace with her for crafters to buy to help support Eileen's travels, including gas, food, lodging and hopefully not too many repairs to Scotty or Big Daddy (the F150 pickup that hauls Scotty). In turn, Eileen will be providing crafters with a flyer about my Close To My Heart business -- which shows how you too can make a Base & Bling necklace with the terrific supplies from CTMH.

If you have an opportunity to see Eileen at any of the scrapbook stores I've listed below, GO -- you'll be SO impressed! Support #PaprTrail3, and tell Eileen the Monkey said hi.

Read more about Eileen's tour on the Sizzix Blog, and follow along on these social media accounts (listed below) ... and when you do, snare the badge at left and let others know that you too support connecting crafters, designers and companies that produce our supplies.

Today, Rebecca will show you how she's used the "You Did It" stamp creatively:

Rebecca writes that she made this adorable mini-banner using the congratulatory stamp, "You Did It!". She used CTMH's new "Snowhaven" paper pack, Glacier cardstock, Baker's Twine Neutral Metallic Assortment, CTMH's Scallop Border Punch, the Cricut "Art Philosophy" cartridge, and Bitty Sparkles.

#30yearsofhappy - September 3

Happy September!

On Monday, I introduced my blog readers to a fun month-long project in which I am participating, to demonstrate fun ways to use Close To My Heart's new and FREE* mini-stamp set available this month to celebrate
National Stamping Month, and CTMH Founder/CEO's 30 years in the stamping business. If you missed the intro, scroll down to read more and to see what Rebecca made for Day 1, and what I showed yesterday.

Today, it's Julia's turn to show you how you too can use these versatile mini-stamps on projects big and small:

OMGeeee, isn't Julia's project simply adorable?

She stamped the camera image from the #30yearsofhappy stamp set onto Seaside paper, and then stamped her letters to form the sentiment "oh snap" around the camera. Then, using CTMH's Liquid Glass, she adhered the image onto one of the NEW CTMH Base & Bling oval glass elements and onto the pendant. She enhanced the chain for the necklace with two charms (scissors and rhinestone) and VOILA!  A beautiful necklace just perfect for ourselves or our photographer friends.

Read more about Julia's project by going to her blog by clicking HERE.

Today, it's my turn to show how you too can use these versatile mini-stamps on projects big and small:

I was assigned the SWAK stamp (second row, second from the right) for my project, and I thought, hmmm, of course -- use it as it's intended, with a little bit to make it special. So here is what I made:

Using my Cricut, I cut a scalloped label from Close To My Heart's new Confetti Wishes paper. and added two hand-cut "ribbons" from CTMH's Cranberry cardstock. I stamped SWAK using Cranberry Exclusive Ink. I sealed the envelope and glued the cute label directly onto it. And just for good measure and truth-in-advertising, I gave it a kiss and sent the card on its merry way. Easy-peasy!

#30yearsofhappy - September 1

Happy September!

September
is National Stamping Month, and Close To My Heart is ready to celebrate all month long by offering this FREE C-sized stamp set*  (shown at right) featuring 30 mini images and sentiments that are perfectly suited for 30 days of happy stamping.

And to show you ideas on how to use these cute stamps, I have teamed with fellow CTMH Independent Consultants Rebecca Brown (in Missouri) and Julia Clendenen Hammond (in California) to create ideas using each of the stamps.  That's right -- ideas from coast-to-coast!

Throughout the month, my blog will have daily posts -- each one that includes another idea that either I, Rebecca or Julia has made. On some days, that's all that my Paper Jungle will feature; on others, the idea may be shown with other projects I've got going on in September.

Here's today's idea, brought to you by REBECCA:

Rebecca writes that she separated the butterfly from the word "Hey" so she could use it easier without masking. (And CTMH My Acrylix stamps are flexible like that -- easy to trim and still store your trimmed pieces on your carrier sheet!)

She random-stamped the butterfly (so cute!) in CTMH Exclusive Inks using Cranberry, Hollyhock and Pixie inks. She used CTMH's new "Brushed" paper pack, silver Shimmer Trim, Ruby Chevron Washi Tape and Ruby mini-medly accents.

Isn't it such a pretty card??!  Thanks for sharing, Rebecca!  To see Rebecca's blog and write-up (and follow along!!), please jump by clicking HERE.

So how do you get your own "#30yearsofhappy" stamp set?
