Welcome back, Bloggy Buddies!
I showed this on Thursday, did you see it? |
On Friday, I took the Beginner's Class and on Saturday, I took the Intermediate Level instruction. The classes were offered in Lyndhurst, NJ which is about an hour and a half's drive for me, each way. So I stayed at the hotel (Courtyard Marriott) where the class was offered on Friday, and spent the evening playing/crafting. (Truth be told, I'm prescheduling this post, so this is all what I plan to do this weekend! More on the classes on Monday!!)
So in anticipation of taking lots of notes and meeting new friends who may be able to give me tips on Copics in the future, I created this cute notebook to keep my lessons organized:
So in anticipation of taking lots of notes and meeting new friends who may be able to give me tips on Copics in the future, I created this cute notebook to keep my lessons organized:
I found the image and Copic logo doing Google searches. I created the cover art using the Adobe Illustrator program and printed it out on cover stock. I then adhered it to a premade sketch (unlined) book.
Inside, I've bound in the synopsis for each class, information about the two instructors (Lori Craig and Colleen Schaan), and directions to the facility. I've also included the Copic Marker color chart that I made:
Feel free to "lift" this chart and use it to keep track of your own Copic Marker collection!

Super cute! I would have to say my favorite school memory was graduating. Many people thought I never would. I did, I did it on time too!

Best,

I'm baaaaack ... thank you to my Copic instructors Lori Craig and Colleen Schaan for teaching AND inspiration.
Congratulations on 'going back to school' but one I wish I could go to as well!
super cool! I wish I could take those classes! Love the notebook. Perfect to take notes.
Fantastic notebook and what a conversation starter for your class, (not that you need any help breaking the ice I'm sure LOL). Can't wait to see what you've learned at the Copic class

what an awesome notebook! I can't believe the class you went to is right in my old neighborhood. There was never anything like that going on when I lived up there! I'm sure you learned a lot! Copics can be so confusing and there are so many things to do with them.
First grade was my fav. I have 7 siblings. 5 older and 2 younger. I can remember sitting on the couch, looking out the window, and crying because I wanted to go with my older sibs as they got on the bus.
Love your Copics journal. Hope you had a great time in class. I'd love a copy of your chart if you could send me one.

Hi, again! That is so fun that you are taking Copic classes. That is so neat. I have some, but have no idea what to do with them. It is also super great that you got to stay in a hotel. This momma would so love to stay in a hotel alone and craft and create! I hope you are having a super fun time. Your notebook is so unique and creative. What an awesome idea! Thank you for sharing your inspiration!

Nice notebook and thanks for the copics chart ydixon57@cox.net
Fun notebook! I bet your classes are fun :) My favorite grade was Kindergarten. I had an awesome teacher and remember singing great songs and making awesome things. Maybe that leads to why I am a 4K teacher today ;-)

Ellen, wow again! love the box & want to hear more about that. But I do like the notebook too. I just bought a comp book for an idea of mine (I'll blog eventually) so was thrilled to see yours. I'm sure those into copic will love your idea & can't wait to hear about class!
Ellen, it was so much fun to meet you in class! I love your enthusiasm and your personality! Keep it up girl!!!
My favorite class was math. Don't know why but I always like it. I love that copic covered notebook. I have a small set of copics but I'm not that good at using them. Maybe I will pick up some pointers in the future from being a follower of yours.
