I Need Your Vote on the Master Crafter Challenge!

It's Link Up time for the Master Crafter Challenge, the long-awaited fun competition led by Sarah Hamer Designs (a.k.a., Pink Cricut) and sponsored by oodles of fabulous craft suppliers.  So here's the deal-ee-ooo:

In August, Sarah issued a challenge, calling for 100 competitors to simply pay for shipping to receive a small flat rate box full of mystery crafting goodies.  Here's what was in each box:

Our challenge was to use as many supplies as we could to make a craft -- no holds barred, open-ended, anything ... a card, a layout, a 3-D project, etc.   We're to post our projects on the Pink Cricut website, and gather YOUR votes in support of our project.

Without further ado, here's my submission to the Master Crafter Challenge ... a banner:

I cut six sheets of the cardstock from the mat into pennant shapes, and used another six sheets to make the rosettes.  My little word stamp ("play") was actually lost in the mail, so I contacted Sarah and she had me improvise. So I set the word in Courier (the same that the stamp uses) and cut out an enlarged version using my Silhouette Cameo.  The photo doesn't really do the work justice, as each letter is about 3/8" thick, raised by cutting several pieces of each letter and gluing/stacking them together.

I chose to cut up the little cotton bag, using pinking shears in homage to "Pink" Sarah.  The pieces of the cotton bag were used to tie together each pennant. I also used the drawcords to make floral embellishments (left and right pennants). Each of the pennants is embellished with paper that's been circle punched, the buttons, and the rhinestones.

You can help this old gal win a prize on the way to the Master Crafter championship.  Beginning on Sunday, October 7 through Thursday, October 11, visit Sarah's website by clicking HERE, and selecting my banner for your top pick.  I'm #43.

Thanks in advance!

Your humble crafting servant (LOL!!),

What a beautiful banner, and I love how you used the bag to tie together the pennants! :)

Ellen, you did a phenomenal job being clever with all of the supplies. Sorry your stamp got lost, but WOW, you sure did improvise well to make up for it. I love the rosettes and that you used the muslin bag as your anchor ties. Your banner is gorgeous!

I like how you still incorporated "play" into your project even without the stamp!
