#30yearsofhappy - September 11

Greetings from the Outer Banks of North Carolina!

Where would you rather be: sitting in a classroom as schools get back in session, or underneath a beach umbrella, soaking up the last of the summer's sun?

Or ... papercrafting in the lower level of a rented home, poolside? Hmmmmm.... choices, choices

Let's get along with our month-long celebration of National Stamping Month and the 30th anniversary of Close to My Heart Founder and CEO Jeanette Lynton's time in the stamping industry.
I hope you have been enjoying the projects that I and my fellow CTMH Independent Consultants (Julia Hammond and Rebecca Brown) have brought to you this month on our respective blogs.  Missed any ideas?  Scroll back through the month here, and you'll see just how versatile this stamp set is with its 30 mini icons.

Here is my take on how to use the "Rock Star" stamp:

I see the Rock Star stamp as being a perfect stamp to recognize a job well done by the kids in your family. Keeping a chore chart like daughter Emily is doing with my 3.5 year old granddaughter Charlotte?  Just use the stamp instead of stickers!

Are you a teacher, or know of a teacher?  This -- and many of the stamps on the #30yearsofhappy stamp set -- is a perfect add-on onto a student's homework or test, like this:

Here's how to get your own #30yearsofhappy stamp set:

*To qualify for the free #30yearsofhappy stamp set shown here, just spend $30 on any current retail-priced stamps during the month of September and the set will be sent with your order automatically!

On a somber note, it is impossible for me to allow a
"happy" day like today without remembering that just 13 years ago, we were a nation in mourning. We had been attacked. More than 3,000 lives were lost in an act of terrorism; many of those lives were lost by emergency personnel doing what sets us apart from the barbarians who attack innocents -- those rescuers lost their lives serving others. Let us not forget them and their sacrifice on this day set aside to remember. May God keep them and their families, and all of us, safe.
