#30yearsofhappy - September 29

#30yearsofhappy have equaled 30 DAYS of HAPPY STAMPING and Happy Blogging for me... I'm sad to see this challenge end. It's been fun to show you all the neat things you can make with this very versatile stamp set.

And I think I've saved my {BEST} project for last.

Yes, I admit when I first saw this teeny, tiny stamp I thought "What in the heck am I going to do with this?"

Then it came to me:
A mini-album, using this mini-stamp ...

Showing off the
thing that happened to me this summer.

He's the
little grandson a "Gii" could ever want.
Or hope for.

Here's my project. I started with a chipboard cover:

I used Aleene's Tacky Spray Adhesive to affix a 3.5x3.5" piece of CTMH's "Confetti Wishes" paper on top of the chipboard that I cut to size using my Martha Stewart paper trimmer.  I use that trimmer for chipboard because the blade is deep enough to cut through the very thick board. (Other boards have a less deep blade.)

I embellished the cover using Complements (stickers) from the (now retired) Babycakes paper pattern.  I have been making a larger album and mid-sized albums for Evan using this same paper -- so everything coordinates.

Next, I took eight 3"x3" of Close To My Heart's Flip Flaps (four of each are available in each small assortment, so buy two) and adhered one to the next in a zig-zag (accordion) style.  I printed 8 of Evan's cutest pictures out on my home computer, and printed them out in the custom size.  If you want to make several of these for gifts or don't have a good quality photo printer at home, consider EXPRESS PRINTING your photos using CTMH's Studio J program.  I show you how in a tutorial here on my blog -- see the tab in the upper left.

I slipped Evan's pictures into the openings in the gutter (folds) of each of the Flip Flaps. Then I embellished each picture with Babycakes Complements as well as just hand-cut or Cricut-cut labels on which I had stamped {BEST} and then came up with a category, like these two cute pictures:

I also think this stamp would be perfect to use on your scrapbooks! Cards! ...and more!
